Retour de l'inhabitable (return of the uninhabitable) is a collage printed with photoengraving.
A postmodern building in the periphery of Toulouse resembles a city fortification. Inside the protective human sphere and outside the wildness, the uninhabitable space. The collage points on the contemporary practice of creating uninhabitable spaces on purpose to prevent illegal trespassing or squatting of land by the destruction of the soil. This is common in the post-industrail landscape of Labège near Toulouse. In the meantime, the depicted postmodern building has been demolished.
